Au Charbonnage Cafe, Vincent van Gogh

1878 (age 25)

Do you realize how much better van Gogh got after he was an adult? After most people would’ve quit. He turned from someone who just liked to draw and was pretty good at it, in to a completely unique master. He didn’t even touch a paintbrush seriously (if at all) until he was around 28 years old, and his best known works were completed in the last 2 years of his life.

I think this is a perfect chance to use someone else’s perseverance and courage as an inspiration to never give up, to start any time…whatever it is you’ve always wanted to do, do it!

Will we all be van Goghs? Of course not, but to be ourselves, fully, creatively, and uniquely, is the best we can hope for.
